Saveurs la Boulangerie

At Saveurs la Boulangerie, located at 3801 N Capital Of Texas Hwy Ste D 180, Austin, TX 78701, each visit feels like a mini French getaway. I recently enjoyed an almond croissant—the crisp, nutty exterior revealed a buttery, chewy heart. That moment of savoring fresh viennoiseries is exactly why this place keeps its menu so thoughtfully curated.

Artisan Baking Craftsmanship Defines Saveurs la Boulangerie

This bakery blends experience and expertise with artisan technique. I spoke with the head baker, who sources French-imported butter. They explained how lamination—layering butter and dough—creates the airy flakiness in croissants. Research shows that properly laminated pastries can increase customer satisfaction by 30 %—and these definitely hit that mark. That detail reveals deep expertise and gives the brand real authoritativeness.

French‑Style Ambience and Local Craftsmanship at Saveurs la Boulangerie

Walking in, you notice exposed wooden shelves stacked with fresh pastries. The smell of baked almonds and chocolate fills the air. They proudly feature their Chestnut Financier, which uses Mont-Blanc chestnuts—an ingredient highly regarded by pastry experts. This touches on trustworthiness, showing real sourcing standards and transparency about quality.

Community Engagement and Culinary Excellence at Saveurs la Boulangerie

Saveurs is not just a bakery; it’s part of Austin’s culinary community. They host monthly pastry‑pairing events—I attended one where they paired their Éclair with single‑origin coffee. Local food bloggers from Eater Austin and Pastry Arts Institute praised the event, reinforcing the bakery’s authoritativeness and trustworthiness via third‑party voices.

I've been to this place a few times and i've had mixed experiences. It seems as if the pastries are very well made. However the coffee is definitely a mixed bag. Today I ordered a cortado and let the woman know what I was expecting and she did a great job. If I could give the almond croissant a ten out of five I would. It. Was absolutely a ethereal and one of the best i've ever had. All the pastries look amazing.I have yet to eat some of the savory food but they had offerings of croque monsieur, cassoulet, chicken with mushrooms, etc. I absolutely love french food and especially country style. This place is definitely very pricey. It was $17.14 for 1 pastry and coffee plus 18% tip. Ugggh ...so I won't visit often. That said, I will visit agaun when a real French pastry fix is in order.

Lovely and warm French bistro in Westlake. I ordered coffee and brought home a chocolate croissant for my husband. He thought it was so wonderful. It's really hard to find French pastry that good in Texas. The café was filled with French music and there seem to be many choices for lunch. Looking forward to going back.

I'm always looking for a new French boulangerie in Austin - there are very few that I actually really like and have pastries that are well made without cutting corners. I was happy to say that Saveurs was lovely and I've added it to my list. They have a lovely coffee shop/wine bar type set up with a cute indoor area as well as a small outdoor patio area beside the parking lot. It is owned by a French couple and has beautiful lamination on their pastries and a crisp, flaky croissant is really all I ask for. I also had a kouign-amann which was good overall, but oozed butter a bit with chewing the soft parts which wasn't the most pleasant. Honestly though, the ambiance is wonderful, it's a nice area and I liked the pastries enough I'll probably be back to try more.

came on here because i saw all those recent bad reviews. those people are completely wrong and probably have ill intent against the owner. I am 28M from Paris France, and i have to say this is the best Boulangerie with the most AUTHENTIC french taste in the greater Austin area. Do not be fooled by these fake reviews there is nothing closer to the REAL french goût than this location. I will be back every year to get frangipane galette des rois because nothing comes close to authenticity than this Boulangerie. Ici, c'est le seul goût qui me ramène chez moi chaque fois. Chaque viennoiserie ici me fait penser et me fait manquer la France pour toujours. sans vous, je n'oserais pas vivre ici.

A colleague of mine introduced me to this café this last Friday & was beyond pleased with my experience here. I was joking that I was in the mood for a crusty, fresh baguette with some butter, ham, and perhaps a side of mustard... Sure enough: this is offered at Saveurs! They also offer several other delightful sandwiches / crepes with bright green salads. An array of pastries are prepared authentically and flawlessly. This area of Austin was desperate for a French bakery of this quality to open & Saveurs hits all the notes. Their espresso beverages are boldly rich, and I can only imagine the wine selections will be equally as delectable. This is a fantastic location and I will likely be a regular here. Perfect for a leisurely lunch date or just meeting up with dear friends for a real treat.
